Pilgrimages for Adults

A pilgrimage is a meaningful journey to a sacred place.

It provides the opportunity to step out of the non-stop busyness of our lives, perhaps to seek a time of quiet and reflection. A pilgrimage also allows us to enjoy the company of others we meet on the road, and to reconnect with our cultural heritage and the natural world. It can be a way to refresh our faith or seek spiritual direction.

Christ Church offers pilgrimage experiences to a variety of destinations. We invite you to journey with us.

The Footsteps of Paul Pilgrimage to Turkey & Greece

September 27 - October 8, 2023

Info Session:
Sunday, March 26 at 12:30 pm in the Green Room
Join Scholar in Residence Dr. Suzanne Henderson and Christ Church clergy on a pilgrimage to Turkey and Greece, as the words of St. Paul come alive in ways that will deepen your faith. From September 27 through October 8, we will retrace the journeys of Paul, cruising the Mediterranean and learning about the earliest proclamation of our faith in Jesus. Start your journey in Istanbul, then travel on to Ephesus. Set sail to Patmos, Rhodes, and Santorini. We will have a full day tour of Corinth and depart from Athens. Total cost for this once in a lifetime opportunity is $5,000 per person, including airfare from Charlotte. A $1,000 online deposit is due by May 1, and a $4,000 (check or cash only) payment is due by July 1.
