For the Son of Man came not be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45

Ways to serve at Christ Church

Maundy Thursday is the ultimate expression of service from Jesus. There was nothing that Jesus wouldn't do for his disciples. The day before his death he stoops to the lowliest role of all - washing their dirty and dusty feet. Jesus' act shows that there is no service of another human being that is beneath him or us. As we seek to serve others in the same manner, we will see Christ revealed to us over and over again.

Each of us are called to share our God given gifts and serve. Christ Church is blessed with a variety of opportunities for our parishioners to serve in our community and world. We hope everyone finds meaningful ministry both at Christ Church (In our Parish) and outside the walls of our church (Outreach and Mission). Whether you are interested in serving as an usher at church, driving meals to shut-ins, serving at a community agency, singing in a choir, teaching Sunday School, being part of a Care Team or baking cookies for funerals, we need your helping hands to fulfill our ministries. Please search your heart, surf our website, peruse our publications Consider Your Call and Service In the City and let us know where you seek to serve others through Christ. If you need more information, please contact a staff person in the program area in which you wish to serve.
