Christian Education on Sundays for all ages!
- Preschool-3rd graders use the Live B.I.G. (Belief in God) curriculum. Live B.I.G. has a BIG idea, Bible Verse, and theme for each month. It also provides parents’ pages so your child will have a brief description of the lesson shared each day.
- 4th and 5th graders use the Episcopal Children’s Curriculum (ECC).
- 6th graders use a combination of several curricula to give these “tweens” something to bridge the experience between the elementary program and Journey to Adulthood.
All of the classes above areled by 4 lead teachers who are present almost every Sunday and by 2 assistants who help add the hands and hearts needed to maximize this learning opportunity. It is our hope that each child can feel connected to the larger church community through our Sunday school program. When you join the parish, your children are automatically enrolled in
Church
School
. Children are assigned to their classrooms based on age, gender and the opportunity to make new friends. Prior to the beginning of Sunday School in the Fall, you will receive a postcard listing your child’s room assignment and teaching team members.
Seventh – twelfth graders use the Journey to Adulthood or J2A program. J2A is based on two concepts: (1) Manhood and womanhood are gifts from God (2) Adulthood must be earned. Four key components of exploration are self, spirituality, sexuality and society. Journey to Adulthood follows the imperatives of the Baptismal Covenant and enables the young people to discover and experience the love of God.
