Homeless Walk - Bring your family and friends and be a part of the 3rd Annual Homeless Walk on Saturday, November 17. This 3 mile walk begins at 10:30 a.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.). We will walk past several locations that our homeless neighbors call home. Cost is $10 per walker. For more information, visit www.awayhome.org or contact Aimee Norman, 704-714-6940.

Interfaith Hospitality Network - IHN takes homeless families and provides temporary housing and support through church networks. If you would like to help make a meal, be an overnight host, assist with set up or breakdown or learn more about this wonderful program, please contact Lisa Seaton, 704.334.2775, or lmseaton@carolina.rr.com or Mary Katherine Black at 704.376.2985 or mkhblack@aol.com. Interested in helping in a very big way with a very small time commitment? We are looking for volunteers to help purchase toiletry items for our IHN guests. Sunday Welcome Center - Are you passionate about making Christ Church a warm and inviting home for all who walk in our midst?  If so, then you may feel the call to be an Ambassador of Christ Church!  We are a large group of parishioners who greet at Sunday services, work the welcome center, call on visitors, become friends with new members and do everything possible to make smooth transitions into our church family.  If this appeals to you, please contact Patty Lambert at pglambert@carolina.rr.com or Aimee Norman at normana@christchurchcharlotte.org

Outreach opportunities both through Christ Church , the community, and the world are in endless supply.  Outreach focus at Christ Church changes as vision and the congregation dictate.

There are currently many outreach opportunities at Christ Church in the areas of Health, Housing & Hunger, Child Development and Education, as well as Mission Trips. 

Examples of on-site opportunities at Christ Church include Room in the Inn and Interfaith Hospitality Network. 

Opportunities in our Charlotte community include service at agencies such as Regional Aids Interfaith Network, Thompson’s Child and Family Focus or the Emergency Winter Shelter. 

International trips and missions  support communities in El Salvador , Costa Rica and here in the United States.
