Brené Brown, Ph.D., LMSW is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past ten years studying vulnerability, courage, authenticity, and shame. Brené spent the first five years of her decade-long study focusing on shame and empathy, and is now using that work to explore a concept that she calls "Wholeheartedness."

Sara Miles: Leaping in Life as a Process for Growth and Transformation April 29th Some believe conversion to faith is a one time experience of "figuring it all out and believing." Could it be that growing in faith is an ongoing transformation that we should embrace? Sara Miles serves as Director of Ministry at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Her books include "Jesus Freak: Feeding Healing Raising the Dead" and "Take This Bread: A Radical Conversion." In 2000 she founded the Food Pantry which currently provides free groceries to over 1200 hungry families around the altar at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco. The Food Pantry is run entirely by volunteers, most of them people who came to get food and stayed to help out.
