2012-2013 Registration Information

CCK offers tours by appointment for available spaces.  Please call 704-333-5818 for information on available spaces or to schedule a tour.

Toddlers and Twos - 9:00 AM until Noon
Extended Hour Play for Toddlers and Twos - Noon until 1:00
 (Monday through Thursday)
Threes, Fours and Kindergarten - 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM (Monday through Thursday)
Threes, Fours and Kindergarten - 9:00 AM until Noon (Friday) 

Registration Information
Registration for the 2012-2013 School Year closed on February 10, 2012. 

• A child’s class is determined by his/her age on August 31st, the cut-off date for the State of North Carolina and for Christ Church Kindergarten.
  
• An annual Registration Fee of $100 is due with the application.  The Registration Fee is refunded if your child is wait listed.
  
• Placement is made by the Head of School and the Placement Committee of the CCK Board of Directors. Members of this committee are: Chairman of the Board, Ex-officio Chairman, Chairman-Elect and Representatives to the Board (Clergy, Vestry and Parent Representative).
  
• Kindergarten Applicants:
   - The Gesell Screening is required for all applicants. The Gesell Screening is administered by a staff
     member of Christ Church Kindergarten.
   - For all applicants who are not currently enrolled at CCK, a Teacher Evaluation form is required and we ask
     that his/her current preschool teacher complete it. Forms are available in the office.
  
• Class spaces will be assigned according to priority groups listed on the last page of the application. If all places are filled, applicants are placed on the waiting list in the same priority order.
  
• Parents will be notified of the placement results by mail.
  
• To confirm placement, parents must sign and return the Enrollment Contract with their advanced tuition payment of $500. The advanced tuition payment for all students was due March 9, 2012.
  
• Once you have signed the Enrollment Contract, a child is considered enrolled for one school year.  If a student withdraws prior to the end of the school year, the student’s parents remain liable for the full year of tuition.
  
• Christ Church Kindergarten offers scholarship assistance for short-term needs. If you wish to apply for scholarship assistance, please contact the Head of School, Amie Hutchison.
  
• If the applicant is a child of “Special Needs” additional information regarding the application process and placement are available from the office.
