Welcome to Christ Church (back to top) Welcome to Christ Church. Perhaps you’ve already attended a service here and are visiting our website to get more information. Perhaps you are checking us out online before you choosing to visit the church. We realize that people often seek a church when they have experienced a change in their lives, which may be a move, graduation from college, marriage, birth, sickness or death. We want you to know that Christ Church strives to care, support and guide you through these life changes. We also provide an array of opportunities for you to engage in worship, education, fellowship and service to God and community. We are glad you are here and we would love to help you in your quest for a spiritual home. If you’ve invited guests to church, or if you know of visitors, please let them know that we have parking spaces reserved on Sundays just for them, alongside the parking spaces reserved for Seniors. Men's Breakfast: First Friday for Men - June 7th (back to top) June Men’s Breakfast set for Friday, June 7th, 7:00-8:00 AM in the Blue Room of Christ Church. We get the gift of more time with Bill Grier who’s offering treasure from a contemporary book entitled, Golf’s Sacred Journey. He’s sees this jewel as “a story about a bonfire of insignificance.” I got the chance to read it soon after it was published. And remember how pertinent it was to my life. A bunch of application for us men. Food and reservations are the same. We’ll be catered by Anderson’s and awakened with parish coffee. Cost is $8.00. Pay when you arrive on June 7th. Reservations insure there’s enough food. Either call parish events coordinator Kathy Schofield at 704/333-0378 or e-mail her at schofieldk@christchurchcharlotte.org.

One of the things highlighted with her award was the work she did with Christ Church and Charlotte Family Housing – moving 4 homeless families into our homes! Please congratulate Sue the next time you see her!

Men Of Purpose Class (back to top) This class meets on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM and has a theme of spiritual formation; however, each Sunday's conversation will stand on its own. Leadership rotates. We will continue our Lenten series with more tough questions that examine what we are willing to really sacrifice in this time of giving over.
Upcoming Men's Discipling Events (back to top) 2013 Night on Mt. LeConte, Tenn. has been set. Thanks to the efforts of Stuart and Ginger Garner we have two large cabins reserved for Thursday, September 19th. There are 14 open spots for this one. Next month I’ll send notice of a 1st-come, 1st served registration process. We’ll actually have 20 men with us for 2013. Bill Ydel, who’s gone on all 5 LeConte trips, made an additional reservation for that same night. He’s got a 2-bedroom cabin. He, his son, parishioner Ferman Wardell ( also a LeConte veteran ) and Ferman’s son plan to be there. Still, our numbers can expand next year. Consider joining this fine trip.
