Serving Nationally at Christ Church
Christ Church regularly serves outside our community by sharing our time and talents in the greater nation. Currently Christ Church focuses its regular, yearly mission work in two communities: Duff, Tennessee and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Christ Church seeks to be responsive to disasters and crises in the nation through prayer (always), through collections/drives (when appropriate) and through sending volunteers to respond (when appropriate). Bay St. Louis, Mississippi Duff, Tennessee "If I had given a sermon while we were there I would have said something about how our work seemed very small in the big picture of Katrina, but loomed large in the lives of Madonna and Ronnie. I would have said something about the ways in which each of us brought something to the group that made us complete, just as each disciple was chosen by Jesus because of his unique gifts. I would have said something about how our work there may not seem as professional as real floor people or real tile people, but our work will last just as long and is not only something helpful to Madonna and Ronnie, but also is something beautiful to God. I would have said something about how we preached the gospel without using words and that gospel will be the sure footing for Madonna and Ronnie for years to come."
