Fellowship and Support Groups

The primary focus of these groups is simply to care for each other through fellowship and fun. You may contact The Rev. Caring for Aging Parents (CAPS)

Are you caring for older parents or loved ones as they age and need more assistance? This group is designed for the growing population who are caring for older family members or friends. Whether you are just beginning this journey or have been on this path for quite a while, our group is for you. Meetings consist of guest speakers on various topics, fellowship, and sharing. No registration or RSVP required.

Ready to lead a more healthy lifestyle? This twelve week course is designed to help you make healthy lifestyle changes and set healthy goals. Each week focuses on a different aspect of nutrition and/or activity that will help you get fit. Pre-registration preferred. Knit One, Pray Too

We connect our passion for knitting with faith. Prayer shawls are made, blessed, and sent to parishioners. Beginner through advanced knitters welcome.

 

LEGS (Ladies Encouraging Grief Support)

LEGS gathers women whose husbands have died for mutual support and fellowship. LEGS meets five-six times a year, sometimes for a meal, sometimes for a related program and for outreach projects. We gather for fellowship, learning, sharing and service.

 

Parish Life Bridge

Come join other novice and intermediate bridge players in a relaxed and fun atmosphere at Christ Church. For ten years our group has played every Wednesday night from 6:45 to 9:00 PM. Singles and couples are welcomed. Call Van Hill at 704-714-6963 with questions. We welcome beginner through advanced bridge players. Cost is $2.

 

Sages Luncheons

Sages are aged sixty or greater, and enjoy gathering together for fellowship and to learn new things about faith and community. Each month we have lunch and listen to a guest speaker in the Blue Room. Lunch is $10. Call the church office to register for lunch.

 

Sages Bridge

Sages Bridge meets in the Blue Room for bridge and lunch. To join the group for lunch, make reservations with the church office to reserve a lunch.

 

Serendipity Guild

The Serendipity Guild is composed of mothers of school-aged children, empty nesters, and grandparents interested in fellowship, prayer, support and sharing ideas for living a balanced life. A book will be chosen that focuses on spiritual growth, family enrichment, or Christian values.

 

Tot Luck

Tot Luck is designed to give families with young children an opportunity for casual fellowship. Groups meet monthly or bi-monthly in homes or at a restaurant. Tot Luck is focused on helping parents and children meet other families with children in the same age range and in close proximity. Come join the fun!
