Christ Church offers several opportunities for guests, prospective members and parishioners to enter further and benefit from the considerable resources here for faith development, fellowship and service. These courses provide an introduction to the multitude of opportunities available at Christ Church.
We recommend that all those new to Christ Church:
- Attend the Tour/Orientation
- Consider attending the Adult Inquirer's class held once a year beginning in February that allows for time with clergy and gives an in-depth learning experience about the Episcopal church and Christ Church
- Become involved in a book study, Bible study, ECW (Episcopal Church Women), Men's events Outreach opportunities - really whatever areas where you have interest.

There are two signature events held each year to welcome and celebrate new people. These events are hosted by the Hospitality Committee of Christ Church and attempt to offer ways that people can come together and connect. These events are Vespers in the Garden and the Advent Lessons and Carols reception.
Vespers in the Garden is held in the spring in the gardens (weather permitting) of a parishioner and those new to Christ Church are invited for an evening of dinner, fellowship and worship.
During Advent the music department offers Candelight Advent Lessons and Carols (the first Sunday in December) which is open to the entire church and is followed by a festive reception hosted by the Hpospitality Committee and both members and new folks alike are invited to join.
We recommend newcomers attend:
1 Hour Introduction to Christ Church, campus tour and brunch
Offered monthly with those new or returning to Christ Church especially in mind. A tour and orientation of buildings with anecdotes of the glorious and humorous history included will follow a general overview of the church and conclude with brunch. These are generally held the second Sunday of each month.
2 Hour Orientation to Christ Church
This class is designed with all levels of membership in mind: prospective members, recent members, members of long-standing. Led by Christy Letanosky and Verdery Kerr, avenues for moving more deeply into the life of the congregation for the building of faith and experience of God will be presented in detail. We will explore opportunities for worship, education, care and service in and beyond Christ Church. Whether the Lord’s current call on one’s life is to comfort or to challenge, Christ Church has a next step for you.
