What's Godly Play?

Godly Play is a creative way to teach the language of Christ to children. This unique worship opportunity is designed to nurture children’s spirituality.  Its goal is to teach children the art of using religious language – parables, sacred stories, and liturgical action – to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in our lives.

After the story, children have an opportunity to respond to the lesson with materials they select.  Because of the nature of the Godly Play experience, being on time is important.

During announcements, children are escorted to the church to join their parents and the community for communion.

Godly Play is held during the 10:30AM service during the summer. We are ready for your children at 10:20 a.m.

3 and 4 year olds – Room M212
5 years old and up – Room M213

During the summer we tend to combine classes.  Godly Play Assistants will lend a hand when you arrive.
