November 15 - Parish Service Day w/ lunch afterward

"Tot-Luck Suppers"
Christ Church is considering beginning a program called "Tot-Luck Suppers". This would be similar to the Foyer Dinner program that is going strong, but these gatherings would include the entire family. Groups would be made up of 3 to 4 families, living in close proximity, and with children around the same age. Each group could determine how they wanted their group to operate, and ideally the groups would meet monthly or every other month, for a very casual supper. Groups can decide whether to meet in each other's homes for a pot luck style supper, or to gather at a local family friendly restaurant. The "host" family duties would rotate with each supper, and groups might be changed every 6 months to a year.

This would be another way to get to know families with young children at the church, and to have the children get to know each other as well.

If you and your family would be interested in being involved in the "Tot-luck Suppers", please send an email to emilypcooper@carolina.rr.com to indicate your interest. In the email, please include your address w/ zip, and the age(s) of your child(ren). We hope to have the groups assigned and ready to go for your first supper soon after Labor Day; coinciding with the beginning of Sunday School and other fall programming at the church.

Young Adults at Pops in the Park
Christ Church Young Adults gathered at Pops in the Park on June 22 for "Broadway Night". We had a great time visiting, eating and listening to the Charlotte Symphony. Even a downpour didn't dampen the occasion.
