Divorce Care Support

Christ Church will be offering a class to continue supporting and building community for those who are separated or divorced. Whether you have experienced divorce recently or in the past, this group will provide understanding and care for your continued journey of recovery and healing. It will meet May through August on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and is open to our parish members and all others. Divorce with Grace, Optimism and Dignity


- 10 week workshop at Christ Church, Wednesdays 6:45-8:45, January 9 - March 12. This workshop is designed to help people facing the end of a marriage restore and rebuild their lives. It will be led by Marsha Kennedy, creator of the program, and Wendy Pocock, local counselor and Christ Church member. Registration is required and space is limited. Cost $150. Special Delivery


- We support and care for families with newborns and expectant mothers by offering helpful, relevant information and providing easy ways to connect with others at Christ Church. To be a part of this ministry contact Susan Morris, 704.714.6962, morriss@christchurchcharlotte.org. Join us for the Special Delivery Luncheon on Thursday, May 1, in the Blue Room. This luncheon is for all expectant mothers and new mothers. Call Susan Morris for luncheon reservations,

 

Caring Guild


- The Caring Guild provides receptions in the Blue Room after funerals. You can help by baking cookies for the receptions and/or helping to set up and serve at the receptions. Contact Amie Packer, 704.347.3907, apacker@carolina.rr.com.

 

Sunshine Guild


- Each Monday, members of the Sunshine Guild arrange flowers from Sunday’s altar which are delivered to parishioners in the hospital. To join this guild, contact Cassell Fitzhugh, 704.366.9730, cassellfitzhugh@mac.com.

 

Friends and Visitors


- Church members are linked with homebound parishioners and make contact (monthly or more) in person or by phone with their "friend." To be linked, contact Betsy Westerberg, 704.366.3653, elizabethwest5@aol.com.

 

Care Teams


- A Care Team is composed of 6-10 volunteers who offer support and tangible care for an individual or family in our parish facing challenging circumstances. To help with this ministry, contact Lisa Saunders, 704.714.6952, saundersl@christchurchcharlotte.org.

 

Fertility Support Group


- The Infertility Support Group is for couples having difficulty creating or expanding their family. Non-Christ Church members are welcome. For more information, contact Lisa Saunders at 704.333.0378 or saundersl@christchurchcharlotte.org.

 

Fellowship of Prayer


- Would you be willing to pray for the needs of Christ Church and your fellow parishioners? The Fellowship of Prayer is a ministry in which we lift up the needs of our church and world in prayer from our homes. Contact Amy Morris, 704.556.3648, amyhmorris@bellsouth.net

 

Phoebe Guild


- Guild members deliver home-cooked meals to parishioners who have a new baby or who have experienced the death of an in-town family member.
