How many of us find it easy to live everyday of our life, being exactly the kind of person that we have always wanted to be? How many of us find it easy to love those that are not easy to love, to find entertainment in things that are constructive and not destructive, to include everyone in everything, and to laugh with people instead of at them? Of course no, one finds this easy everyday. Most teens find life constantly bombarding them with temptations to do the exact opposite.
EYC has many goals. We hope to learn, to serve, to worship and to pray together. Most of all, however, we hope to play together. We hope to practice being ourselves together, whoever we are. EYC hopes to provide a community that will support our efforts to be the people that God calls us to be and allow us to practice being that person. If we are able to practice being the person God wants us to be in a safe place, then we might have the strength to be that person out in the world too.
Who are you? If you know who you are, bring that person into our community and we will welcome you. If you don’t know who you are, bring the desire to discover who you are into our community and we will try to support you.
