Sages at Christ Church For the past year, 2009 -2010, the Sages were offered many interesting and entertaining events and travel opportunities. At our last luncheon event for this church year, we enjoyed the extraordinary piano playing and voice of Scott Whitesell. The Sages is a group of Christ Church Charlotte parishioners who are 60 years (young) and above who want to expand our relationships, amplify our significance and continue to be engaged in some fun activities. The stated mission of the Christ Church Sages Commission is to enrich the lives of our members who are sixty and above by developing programs which offer opportunities for:
The Sages Program Committee is hard at work now to put together another great year of activities for 2010 to 2011 starting in September. But, we need and we want your help. We are reaching out to all of you who want to share your talents, thoughts and requests about what and how we might go about fulfilling the stated objectives of our mission. The last official meeting before our Summer break will be on June 21 in Room 207-8 at 11:45AM. Any present or prospective Sage members are welcome to attend, ask any questions and offer your suggestions. You are welcome to bring a bag lunch with you. In order to get some additional and fresh perspective on this, we will be sending out and asking you to return a survey that we will publish this summer. In addition, some of us will be calling and contacting you to ask you to think about how you might want to get involved in some of our activities in the coming year. Please give this request your serious consideration.
