The women participating in the Relationship Guild invite you to join us as we study the Book of Isaiah. We will begin the year with a broad overview of the Old and New Testaments and then begin an in depth study of Isaiah. This book has been chosen for several reasons; it is the most Messianic book in the Bible with its many prophecies of Jesus, it has the most connections with the New Testament, and we have the opportunity to be mentored in this study by Dr. Barry Leventhal. In addition to bringing his personal Jewish history and perspective having been raised an Orthodox Jew who became a Christian, Dr. Leventhal is also one of the foremost Biblical scholars in the country. As we study Isaiah, we will consider its historical, cultural, and political context, when and to whom it was originally written, its prophecies and the fulfillment of those prophecies, and its meaning for our lives today. The study will meet with DeeDee Dalrymple at Christ Church on Thursday mornings, 9:30 – 11:30. Those wishing to attend the class with Dr. Barry Leventhal will meet at Southern Evangelical Seminary on Wednesday mornings, 9:30 – 11:30. Participants can alternate between Wednesday and Thursday mornings, depending on your schedule. The same material is offered each week in both classes. We will meet September – April, observing holiday weeks for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. All are welcome!
