Serving in the Parish

Christ Church has many ministries opportunities "In our Parish" which range from teaching Sunday School, to setting the altar for church, to writing bereavement letters to parishioners who have lost a loved one, to playing an instrument in the Contemporary Band, to leading a small group Bible Study or to organizing events for new members. Each program area needs people serving in all their ministries. Please contact staff or lay leaders in each program area to learn more about how you can be part of our ministry teams that support Christ Church and its parishioners.

Music and Worship
Ministries support all aspects of Worship and include Altar Guild (for all services), Choirs, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, Chalice Bearers, Lectors, Acolytes, Contemporary Band and Ushers.

Adult Spiritual Formation
Ministries include Sunday Morning Adult Teachers and Small Group Leaders.

Children and Family Ministry
Ministries include Lead or Assistant Sunday School Teachers (ages 2 yrs-6th grade), Godly Play Teachers, Musicians for Sunday School hour, and Special Events Coordinators (including Vacation Bible School, Live Nativity, Community Building Events and more).

Youth Ministry
Ministries include Sunday School Teachers (Middle and High School), Wednesday Night Life Group Leaders (Middle and High School), and Special Events Coordinators (including Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, Senior/College Ministry Team and more).

Congregational Care
Ministries include Care Teams, Caring Guild, Special Delivery Team, Sunshine Flower Guild, Phoebe Guild, Friends and Visitors, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Bereavement Ministry Team, Support Groups, Prayer Shawl Ministry, All Saints' Eucharist Team, Friendly Freezer Cooks and Health Ministry Team.

Parish Life and Fellowship
Ministries include Parish Day Team, Kanuga Parish Weekend Team, Foyer Group Team, Young Adult Team, Kitchen Council Team, and Hospitality Teams.

Sages Ministry
Ministries include Programming Committee, Bridge Tuesdays, and Service Committee.
