Thursday Mornings 10:30a.m.-12:00 Noon. The Rev. Lisa Saunders and The Rev. Chip Edens will be our primary teachers and we will welcome Davis Kuykendall from Search Ministries as a guest teacher. We will use an exegetical (involves an extensive and critical interpretation of a holy text) and devotional approach to Bible Study. We will critically look at the text, examine what the text is saying and then look at what the scripture is saying in our lives. New Writing and Faith Group Now Forming
Writing Your Faith: Mondays, once a Month from 7:00p.m.-8:30p.m.
In the beginning, John tells us, was the Word. Words, spoken and written, are vital to our faith journey. If you'd like to discover how writing can help you explore and express your faith, you're invited to participate in this group! After Ray McGinnis’s workshop on Writing the Scared, many parishioner have asked for a small group that would follow from that workshop. And our new group was born! All are welcome. No experience necessary!
Writing may include journaling, poetry, essays, and even psalms. You'll have the opportunity to use prompts and group activities to facilitate your work. Novice and experienced writers are encouraged to participate! Group members will take turns leading activities and planning meetings. Resources used will include: Writing the Sacred, Ray McGinnis and Spinning Words Into Gold, Maureen Ryan Griffin. Questions? Heart to Heart: Marriage Enrichment Workshop
Friday and Saturday September 26 - 27
Back by popular request, The Barnabus center will once again come to Christ Church and lead couples through a wonderful weekend designed to enrich marriages and helps couple to re-connect. The program begins with a Friday Night session from 6:30p.m. to 10:00p.m. and continues with the Saturday portion from 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m. Friday Night Dinner and Saturday Lunch are included in the $75 registration fee. Scholarships are available. The full registration form is included in this bulletin. We welcome couples from the community, so go ahead and invite a couple you know to join us!
Whenever couples talk about their hearts, dreams, hopes, and disappointments, there will be energy. Heart to Heart is a weekend set up for safe conversations about important and
big topics. It is a weekend that brings God into the middle of those conversations.

Are you a small group leader? Or a leader of a Bible Study and need some curriculum ideas and ideas on ways to form a group? Jenny Beaumont, the Adult Spiritual Formation Coordinator, is poised to help. Call or email and she can discover some things to make leading that much easier.
Are you looking for a small group? We have small groups that meet everyday of the week. Some are day groups, others meet in the evening. The groups vary; some are Bible Studies and others are Book Studies.
