Rector's Welcome

Welcome to Christ Church. Our mission is to be a spiritual home for all people. We seek to fulfill this vision by gathering to love God through our vibrant worship and by seeking to grow in our faith by engaging our hearts and mind in thoughtful, relevant education. We take seriously the call to create a safe community where all people are welcome, and where we can care for and support each other through all the passages of life. We are also deeply committed to serving and advocating for justice in our city, nation, and world. I invite you to get to know us by reading our core values, our plan for the future, and most especially, by joining us on Sunday and other times throughout the week. We look forward to getting to know you. Once again, I welcome you to Christ Church. Welcome home.

Blessings,

The Reverend Chip Edens

Our Latest Publications

The Micah Initiative is our newest mission and outreach ministry in which we seek, in the prophet Micah’s words, to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. We have 3 great hopes – in housing, education, and mission – with many opportunities for being in relationship with and serving others. Click to download the booklet and find out more.

We look forward to building a broad, diverse network of community groups where we come together to love God, care for each other and serve the world. A community group is a mid-week small group opportunity. Christ Church has always had small group opportunities: but, we intend to focus on them and nurture them like never before. Download the book to get the details! Click here to sign up.

It announces upcoming events and programs and provides articles about recent happenings in the parish. To find out more information about how to contribute to our newsletter, please contact Steve Nichols, Director of Print Communications, nicholss@christchurchcharlotte.org.

This guide is filled with agencies in Charlotte that Christ Church is blessed to support, with both financial and volunteer resources. It provides many opportunities to get involved and serve in our community. For more information about getting involved, please contact Aimee Norman at normana@christchurchcharlotte.org.

This ministry booklet is designed so that all parishioners would be aware of the multitude of opportunities to serve at and through Christ Church, whether it is a one time opportunity or a long term commitment. Please browse through this booklet and contact the staff person listed in your area of interest for more information.
