New Sages Chairperson

I would like to introduce myself as the 2008 Chairperson of the Sages Commission. My first order of business is to applaud and thank Marnie Rodgers for her outstanding leadership of the Sages for the past four years. She will be a difficult act to follow. However, Marnie will still be leading the Sages Program Committee, which is now an arm of the Sages Commission. She will be a valuable resource and helping hand for me as we move forward to offer more opportunities to you.

The Sages Commission is planning to initiate a few of the suggestions offered by you in the returned surveys. We entered the data from 290 surveys into an Excel spreadsheet developed by Fran Redic. She has offered to calculate the results. This information will be shared with you when this task is accomplished. The decision was made not to contact additional people because we felt 290 returned surveys would give us sufficient information. However, we would still welcome any additional suggestions or thoughts. We would also like to hear about any speakers or programs that would be enjoyed by all of us. The Sages Commission needs 1-3 additional people to serve this year. The more participants we have, the better we will be able to meet your needs and desires. Please contact me if you would be interested or know of someone you think would be a good addition.
