The Lex Mathews Scholarship Fund, sponsored by the ECW and the Diocese of NC, awarded $14,000 to eleven women last year. It is time to consider women who may be eligible for the scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic school year. Women who are 23 years of age or older may apply, providing educational opportunities for those who have been out of the workforce for a period of time or who need to upgrade their skills or education to advance their career opportunities. Application forms are available at the Reception Desk or online at: www.ecw-nc.org. The deadline for applications is March 15, 2008.
