Rector's Welcome

Welcome to Christ Church. Our mission is to be a spiritual home for all people. We seek to fulfill this vision by gathering to love God through our vibrant worship and by seeking to grow in our faith by engaging our hearts and mind in thoughtful, relevant education. We take seriously the call to create a safe community where all people are welcome, and where we can care for and support each other through all the passages of life. We are also deeply committed to serving and advocating for justice in our city, nation, and world. I invite you to get to know us by reading our core values, our plan for the future, and most especially, by joining us on Sunday and other times throughout the week. We look forward to getting to know you. Once again, I welcome you to Christ Church. Welcome home.
Blessings,

The Reverend Chip Edens
Rector, Christ Church

Dr. Brené Brown: Leaping Into Courage
Many of us feel like we can't measure up to other people's expectations - including our own. Shame can be a corrosive force in life. How do we embrace the God-given gifts within each of us? Can we love others if we do not love ourselves?

Our Latest Publications

God is calling us to new life in this new year. We’ve been on a mission since last fall at Christ Church to rediscover and claim God’s personal, infinite and unconditional love for us and, from there, chart a way of being in the world that reflects our deepest yearnings, true gifts and authentic selves. This leaping into faith will enable us to take the next step: leaps of faith to reshape our lives, our relationships, our work, our church, our community and, ultimately, our world. We encourage you to jump in with both feet. And your whole heart.

The Micah Initiative is our newest mission and outreach ministry in which we seek, in the prophet Micah's words, to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. We have 3 great hopes - in housing, education, and mission - with many opportunities for being in relationship with and serving others. Click to download the booklet and find out more.
