We’re Every Woman
The ECW (Episcopal Church Women) is the inclusive circle of ALL women at Christ Church, divinely connected: giving, receiving, and growing through faith, friendship, and fellowship.
ECW has long been a vital part of Christ Church, working to raise funds for local and national missions, participating in hands-on ministries like Habitat for Humanity and Room in the Inn, as well as hosting inspirational events and social gatherings.
See the calendar (left or below; click event name for details) for upcoming programs and groups especially for women. Here are some of our annual events:
United Thank Offering (UTO)
The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church to nurture the habit of giving daily thanks to God. These prayers of thanksgiving start when we recognize and name our many daily blessings. Look for the UTO envelopes and give generously on Mother's Day Sunday.
During this annual event, all Christ Church women are invited to mix and mingle with our Sages (ages 65 and up) over tea and dessert. Watch for information about this lovely afternoon of fellowship, complete with laughter and wisdom.
ECW has donated over one million dollars to local and national nonprofits who focus on the needs of women and children in the local community and abroad. We do this with funds raised primarily from the GoodNews Shop and holiday Pop-Up Shop.
GoodNews was founded over forty years ago as a continuous fundraising stream for ECW, donating its proceeds to nonprofit initiatives. GoodNews is located on the upper level of All Saints' Hall (look for the green awning) with a tempting inventory of books, cards, pottery, jewelry, food and beautiful crafts. Learn more »
Christ Church Gallery
The hallway walls above All Saints’ Hall are adorned with the work of local artists, both aspiring and established. Sales benefit ECW mission funding. Learn more »
ECW MISSION FundING
Funds generated by the GoodNews Shop and our holiday Feast and Flora Pop-up Shop support mission efforts in our community and beyond.
August 14, 2020
Christ Church ECW is grateful for the tremendous amount of work our community organizations put into improving the lives of others. Your passion and commitment make the world a better place and we are proud to have assisted you in your efforts that truly make a difference in the lives of some of our most vulnerable women and children. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen economic conditions related to the pandemic, we are unable to award financial grants this year, but remain hopeful that we can resume the ECW Mission Outreach program again in 2021.
Please contact us with questions and concerns.
With Deepest Appreciation,
PerMar Olin and Kalie Koivisto
