Building Faith One Story at a Time
Christ Church continues its strong tradition of offering a Sunday School program that encourages children to explore their faith in exciting ways.
During this COVID-19 crisis, we will be offering a video and activities here each week for you and your children to grow together in Christian Formation. New videos and activities will be refreshed every Friday for the upcoming week. Please contact Lindsay Masi with questions.
Sunday, May 31: Pentecost
Enjoy these activities at home to help reinforce the Bible story!
- A new pencil or a straw
- 3 inch pipecleaner
- Pinwheel printout
- Hole punch
- Glue stick
- Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
Draw fiery flames on the opposite side of the line from the dot on the pinwheel printout.
Cut out the paper pinwheel square. Cut the diagonal lines.
Next, glue the corners with the dots to the center, one on top of the other. Hold it in place until it is dry.
Create one hole through the center of the pin wheel using a hole punch, being careful not to crush the pinwheel. Then twist the pipe cleaner around the top of the pencil or straw, making sure it's tight.
Put the pipe cleaner through the pinwheel’s center and wrap the end of the pipe cleaner around itself making a ball, but leave space to allow the pinwheel to spin. Take your pinwheel outside!
Wind and Fire Streamers
- Streamers (Blue, white, orange, and red)
- Popsicle Sticks
- Child safety scissors
- Stapler or tape
Cut each color of the streamers into at least three foot strips. Then, using a stapler or tape, attach the orange and red to one popsicle stick, and the blue and white to another popsicle stick,
Encourage children to wave their wind and fire streamers while watching Eucharist or Virtual Sunday School.
