Using traditional language, Morning Prayer is a service of prayers, scripture, sermon, and music without communion. Unique to Anglican spirituality, Morning Prayer is one of two daily offices found in The Book of Common Prayer, created by Archbishop Cranmer in 1549. Intended to be a practical means for clergy and lay people to “pray without ceasing,” music at this service is traditional and offered by the Christ Church Choir.
