Freedom School is a reading camp for students in the public school system who could use extra help. Christ Church partners with the Freedom School program for Rama Road Elementary students and has a Teen Board who are volunteer helpers. Students on Teen Board apply for one (or more) sessions throughout the summer, attend a training, and then are onsite during their session from 8 am - 3 pm. Sometimes, being a helper includes field trips. Click here to apply for Teen Board. Applications are due May 5th.

HUGS Camp

July 9 - 16
High School Students

HUGS Camp is a one-week overnight camp for children and adults with disabilities ranging from low support needs to high support needs. Each camper is paired with at least one, high school aged, “buddy”. These high schoolers are also a part of the camp experience. They are trained to share the camp experience with their buddy with disabilities throughout daily activities and nightly routines. Students who are rising 9th - 12th grade are invited to apply to be Helper Campers. Click here to learn more about HUGS camp and download the application. Applications are due May 15th.

Episcopal Outreach Camp

July 17 - 20

Rising 7th and 8th grade students

Episcopal Outreach Camp (EOC) is a summer opportunity planned by Charlotte area Episcopal churches for Middle School students (rising 7th and 8th graders) to come together to serve the community, while also getting to build relationships. Students spend the night at the host church (which is Christ Church this year), share meals together, play games, and go out into the community to serve during the day. The cost to attend EOC is $100, which covers food, transportation to serving sites, and a t-shirt. Click here to register for EOC!

Camp Counselors
Rising 10th - 12th grade students
We also need counselors for EOC! If you are a rising 10th
 - 12th grade student and would like to help as a counselor, click here to apply! We do ask that counselors help cover the cost of food for the camp, which is a $50 registration fee.
