Advent Festival

Join us the Sunday after Thanksgiving each year, as we enjoy an inter-generational celebration to prepare us for the season of Advent! Families are invited to make Advent wreaths and Jesse Tree ornaments to adorn your family's tree or pack toiletry bags for Room in the Inn neighbors. It is a great way to start the Advent season and spend time together.

Fall Fest - Pints for a purpose

This adults only event is a great opportunity to get to know current and future parents of Christ Church at an informal night of fellowship. This year, the event will be held on November 9 at Resident Culture Taproom from 7:00 - 10:00 PM.  A portion of each pint of beer purchased this evening will benefit Foster Village Charlotte.  Lite bites will also be available for purchase through Food Truck Friday - East, a collection of six food trucks plus King of Pops, located outside Resident Culture.  This event is sponsored by the Nursery Committee.

Blessing of the Backpacks

On August 26, 2018 we celebrated and blessed the beginning of another school year. Students of all ages brought their backpacks to Church for a special blessing during the 10:30 AM worship services.

These are our Bodies (formerly known as He, She, We, and God) - Faith and Human Sexuality

These are our Bodies is a unique opportunity to place the gift of sexuality within our Christian Faith. The program is designed especially for our fifth grade "tweens" (not yet teenagers, they are in be"tween") and their parents. The leaders for the event are parishioners who are committed to making a connection with the tweens and helping them see that our community is interested in them during these important years of growth and change. Registration is required ($75) and will open in early fall, with very limited space in each session. The 2018 date choices for this two-day (Friday and Saturday) event are October 19 - 20 or November 30 - December 1. It is open for Christ Church parishioners. Community members can register only after registration has closed, and only if space remains.  Register here » through October 1.  We will contact you after registration closes to confirm your date.

A Night in bethlehem

This very special and meaningful interactive experience was for all ages. We enjoyed a drop-in experience of what it might have been like in Bethlehem on the night of Jesus' birth, with live animals and other things to experience.  The drop-in event on the church's front lawn, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 19 was a wonderful way to begin Christmas Break.
