Dear friends,

I am delighted to announce that The Reverend Joshua Case has been called to serve as our Associate Rector for Children, Youth and Families.

Joshua is a native of Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He brings a wealth of experience working with children, youth, and families, having led programs in the United States and Europe, most recently at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church in Atlanta, which is a large suburban parish. He is a visionary leader, a gifted preacher, teacher, and a compassionate pastor.

Joshua is married to Laura and they have two children. Outside of ministry, Joshua is an avid golfer. As a golf instructor he earned a national reputation for his unique way of teaching golf to children.

Joshua will begin his ministry at Christ Church on June 1. We look forward to welcoming the Cases, and we ask for your prayers as they prepare for the move to their new spiritual home.

Please join me in thanking our search committee: Bill Lorenz (Chair), Doug Ey, Mary Lunsford, Lowell Combs, Alice deVries, Owen Copps, The Reverend Matt Holcombe, and Wendy Mauney.

Faithfully,
The Reverend Chip Edens

Dear People of Christ Church,

It with great excitement that I receive the call to join you as Associate Rector for Children, Youth and Families!

In the coming weeks Laura, Gavroche (4 years), Geneva (20 months) and I look forward to making our journey to Charlotte to join you on the pilgrimage of faith. While we will miss many of our friends and loved ones at Holy Innocents in Atlanta, we look forward to sharing Christ’s love and life with you for years to come.

Please pray for us as we dive deeply into the work of transition and know that we have already begun to pray for you.

Plotting goodness -
Joshua, Laura, Gavroche, and Geneva
